Morocco: Arab or African?

Newsday

Available for over a year

Abeiku Sagoe, a playwright and actor in Accra, Ghana, texted Newsday to ask: "麻豆社! Why do you refer to Morocco as an Arab country? For the purpose of the World Cup, Morocco is one of the five representatives of Africa. Please let it remain as such." R茅da Allali is a social commentator and a musician with Hoba Hoba Spirit in Morocco. He told Newsday: 鈥淗ow come we always have to ask ourselves what parts are we a part of? I mean you don鈥檛 ask France, is France Europe? Is France Christian? It鈥檚 just France. Morocco鈥s an ancient country that could be defined by itself. Just look at our faces鈥t鈥檚 all the faces of the world鈥orocco is a connection between Europe, Africa and the eastern world.鈥 (Picture: Shows a collage of abstract faces of various nationalities.
