Akwasi Frimpong has become the first African athlete to earn a position in the top six at a winter sport World Championships event. He finished in 4th place at the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation World Push Championships in Lake Placid, New York. He is Ghana’s first skeleton Olympian and only started the sport five years ago. He speaks to Audrey Brown about his recent achievement.
