Did the 80th Golden Globes Award ceremony champion diversity?

Newsday

Available for over a year

The 80th Golden Globes Award ceremony has taken place in California. The awards returned to primetime TV following a break last year as the jury, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, faced criticism for a lack of diversity. This year they're back with a revamped format, setting out to tackle their diversity issues. Scott Menzel is an entertainment journalist, he's the founder of the Hollywood Critics Association and Editor in Chief of We Live Entertainment, and he's been following the nights events. Joining the programme live from LA, he told Newsday, "Over the last 18 months, they've really been working hard to do a lot of reform within the organisation, they've added a bunch of new members, including six black members".
