Police in the US state of California say they have found the body of a suspect in Saturday's mass shooting in Monterey Park near Los Angeles after they broke into a van. Ten people were killed in the attack in a ballroom dance studio, as people in the mainly Asian-American neighbourhood celebrated the Lunar New Year. The suspect, 72-year-old Huu Can Tran, is also believed to be the gunman disarmed by a group of people at another dance studio in Alhambra, California. A motive for the attacks is not yet known. Emily Holshouser - a crime and public safety reporter for Southern California News Group - described the mood in Monterey Park. "People are really shaken and scared. You don't see mass shootings in Southern California. People are rattled... Although the suspect is now dead, people are really afraid."
