Long queues of people at Nigeria's banks are continuing despite the central bank intervening to try and create order and calm the situation. Nigeria's Central Bank has reinstated the old naira currency as the introduction of the redesigned naira flopped last week when there was not enough new notes in circulation to give to bank's customers. The cash scarcity resulted in frustration and riots in major cities as angry customers attacked banks and barricaded roads in unrest. Reverting to the old currency though has not been smooth. Newsday's Alan Kasujja spoke to businessman, Seanday who said he was relieved that the old banknotes could be used once again as "the masses are suffering". All of this comes just days before Nigeria holds a presidential election on 25 February.
