At least 64 migrants are confirmed to have died, including children, after their boat sank off southern Italy. The boat, which was carrying more than 200 people, broke apart while trying to land near Crotone on Sunday. Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has urged EU institutions to take action to stop clandestine migrant boat journeys. Three people who took similar dangerous journeys to escape war in Syria spoke to Outside Source about that difficult time. Salma is a 29 year old filmmaker from Aleppo.
