Outside Source

Available for over a year

A building project by whiskey maker Jack Daniels is to be stopped in Tennessee, after a local resident said she was facing a plague of whiskey fungus caused by escaping alcohol vapours. Christi Long, of Lincoln County, Tennessee, claimed her property was coated in the fungus, which appears as a black crust on surfaces. It is a growing issue for people in the area, her lawyer told 麻豆社 News. Many residents have posted pictures online that appear to show the black fungus coating surfaces throguout the town. But it's not just a problem in Tennessee. The fungus, which consumes ethanol fumes, is known to grow on surfaces near bakeries and distilleries around the world. The 麻豆社's Max Matza explain why Christi Long is suing Jack Daniels. (Picture: Jack Daniels whiskey bottles are seen in a bar in Krakow, Poland on May 25, 2022 Credit: Getty Images)
