Hemsby residents 'forgotten' after road collapse

Chris Goreham

Available for over a year

The owners of seven homes in Hemsby say they feel "forgotten" after recent storms and high tides washed away an access road. The homes are not at immediate risk but the properties have become inaccessible to cars, deliveries and bin lorries. Footpaths have also been left in perilous condition, making it hard for some residents to leave. The land is owned by a private company which says rebuilding the road without sea defences is unviable.
