Senegal’s famous pink lake, known locally as Lac Rose, used to be one of the country’s most visited tourist attractions and even came close to becoming a UNESCO World Heritage Site. But heavy flooding last year meant it lost its vibrant pink colour. This has impacted the around 3,000 people who live off the lake and depend on its tourism. Soraya Ali reports from Dakar.
