Extra scan could reduce breech births, research finds

Today

Available for over a year

Expectant mothers should be offered a third routine scan at the end of their pregnancy as it would dramatically reduce the chances of breech births. Doctors at St George’s, University of London, have carried out new research and hope this will lead to a change in NICE guidelines. Today's Nick Robinson discusses the findings with Professor Asma Khalil of Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine at St George’s, University of London.
