A number of African embassies have been concerned about the safety of their citizens in Sudan, where scores or people have been killed in the ongoing fighting between rival military factions and supplies of food and water are running low. Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda are the latest to attempt to evacuate their nationals. Roseline Njogu, Principal Secretary at the State Department for Diaspora Affairs at the Kenyan Foreign Ministry, says they are negotiating the safe passage of their nationals out of Sudan, and want to assure them "that help is on the way."
