Khartoum resident: 'Most of the people have left'

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

The conflict between two military factions in Sudan, has entered a third week. Patchy ceasefires have allowed various nations to evacuate their nationals, with many others others finding ways and means to get to safety across the country's borders. But conditions are deteriorating, including access to food, water, medicines and fuel. To get a picture of the situation in Khartoum, Hassan Arouni spoke to Duaa Tariq, an artist and political activist. (Picture: Smoke billows over buildings in Khartoum, Sudan.
