Over 100 million Indians have diabetes, study says

A new study published in Lancet estimates that over 100 million people in India are living with all forms of diabetes. The survey commissioned by the health ministry also found that 136 million people could be living with pre-diabetes. Dr RM Anjana, president of the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation and lead author of the study, told the Âé¶¹Éç's Tim Franks about the study's implications for India's health care system.
