For the 13th time in a row, the Bank of England has raised interest rates. In a break from the previous quarter point jumps the Bank has put them up by half a percentage point to 5% - up from 4.5%. The last time the base rate was 5% or higher was in 2008. Many families are facing financial pressure with rising mortgages and higher rent - coupled with high inflation and the increasing cost of living. But many businesses have been feeling the squeeze too. Âé¶¹Éç Radio Leicester reporter Helen McCarthy has been talking to business owners in Belgrave Gate in the city to find out how they're dealing with these challenging financial circumstances.
