'My house smelled like a sewage farm'

Ady Dayman

Available for over a year

A Melton man has described how heavy rainfall causes repeated flooding to his home, with sewage pouring through his garage. Several houses on Gloucester Avenue in the town are regularly affected by overflowing drains. Peter Cooper told us he's still waiting for an adequate response from the water company Severn Trent. Severn Trent has apologised for the delay in clearing up and is investigating the cause of the flooding. The County and Melton Borough Councils have told us they're liasing with Severn Trent. Peter and other residents on Gloucester Avenue have been telling 麻豆社 Radio Leicester's Major Singh Takhar what happened last time it rained heavily.
