Chinese singer, Tu Yijia rose to fame when she was just 16-years-old after she appeared on a reality-TV music show 'Sing My Song'. Not long after appearing on the widely watched programme, she went on to win a prestigious Chinese Music Award. Tu Yijia is now based in London but she has embraced her Chinese roots. Weekend's Sophie Williams has been speaking to her about her time as a popstar in China, her switch towards more traditional Chinese music and her mission to share it with larger audiences.
