Since the Arab Spring, the Tunisian singer Emel Mathlouthi, has been one of the major voices of the middle east. Just this week, she had an appearance at a festival in Tunisia cancelled, allegedly because she performed in Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem, as well as in Bethlehem and Ramallah, both in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. The Tunisian government did not respond to requests for an interview on the matter. Newshour's Owen Bennett-Jones asked her why her concert was cancelled. (Image: Emel Mathlouthi, Credit: AFP)
