Trump indictment: ‘Democrats have won 2024 elections’

Newsday

Available for over a year

Arrest warrants have been issued for former US president Donald Trump and 18 others who have been charged with trying to overturn his 2020 election loss. Georgia’s District Attorney, Fani Willis, gave the defendants until next Friday to voluntarily surrender. Mr Trump denies any wrongdoing, calling the charges politically motivated. This is the fourth criminal case to be brought against him since he left office. Jennifer Kerns is a former republican strategist and is now a broadcaster and commentator based in New York. She told Newsday: “The democrats are much smarter than I thought, they have managed to…win the 2024 elections without casting a single ballot. They’ve been able to do so…by going after the former president, their biggest political opponent in mostly democrat run cities where you have democrat grand juries and democrat juries and judges that will ultimately judge him and his associates…I am extremely concerned about republican prospects for the 2024 election. The republicans have a very, very difficult hole to get out of after today.” (Picture: Shows charges against former President Donald Trump and 18 other defendants from a Fulton County, Georgia grand jury dated August 14, 2023.
