The Danish government is set to propose a law which would make it illegal to desecrate holy books, including the Quran, Bible, and Torah. The proposal comes after a string of public Quran burnings that sparked outrage from Muslims around the world. The ban would also protect religious symbols like crucifixes - but only applied to public places, and to broadcasting such actions to a wider audience. Richard Milne, the Financial Times Nordic and Baltic Correspondent, explains what the ban might look like in practice.
