Mike Slater spends over 70 hours a week improving habitats for the county’s butterflies. In the UK, 80% of butterfly species have decreased in abundance since the 1970s - but in Warwickshire it’s just 10%. Mike is the Chair of Butterfly Conservation Warwickshire and has been nominated for a Â鶹Éç Make a Difference Award in the Green category. He told Â鶹Éç CWR's Rosie Eaton that the work of him and his fellow volunteers is helping the creatures thrive.
