When the Australian journalist Kirsten Drysdale gave birth to her third child in July, she and her husband wondered if there were any unusual names that it might not legally be possible to call her new son. So as an experiment, they tried registering their boy with the New South Wales Births, Deaths and Marriages as "Methamphetamine Rules". Amazingly, he has been legally recorded in the state ledgers as so, even if it was just for a while.
