Themba Gorimbo's life story could have been a movie, and a real life Hollywood film star has played a starring role. The Zimbabwean UFC fighter had $7 left in his bank account before he won a life-changing fight as a mixed martial artist. It was here when Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson heard Gorimbo’s story, a story which resonated with the actor as he too was down to his last $7 before his wrestling and film fame. What happened next between the pair is a moment fit for Hollywood. Johnson surprised the Zimbabwean with the gift of a new home. Gorimbo takes Sportshour’s Caroline Barker back to that life-changing encounter with “The Rock” and shares his story from being a self-confessed diamond thief in the dangerous fields of Marange to making it to UFC, and how he wants to stay true to his word when he told “The Rock” he would become a champion.
