Senator Gary Peters is part of a delegation visiting Nagorny Karabakh. There have been warnings about the future of ethnic Armenians after Azerbaijan took control of the enclave. The government of Armenia has called for a United Nations monitoring mission to prevent ethnic cleansing there. More than a hundred thousand ethnic Armenians live in Nagorno- Karabakh.
