Israel-Gaza war: 'This is beyond comprehension'

Newshour

Available for over a year

Israel is continuing airstrikes on Gaza while militants have fired more rockets and threatened southern Israeli towns. Mushir El Farrah lives towards the south of the narrow corridor of land, that is the Gaza Strip, in the small city of Khan Younis. He describes feeling the impact of Israeli airstrikes on his city and the "gunpowder" smell left in the air. While many local civilians are taking shelter in overcrowded schools, others have nowhere to go and have been hit hiding in the bottom of other buildings. While the level of destruction is "beyond comprehension", Mushir says people have no choice but to stay strong. (Picture: Aftermath of Israeli strikes, in Khan Younis, Gaza Credit: Reuters)
