Business woes in Perry Barr

Available for over a year

It's 15 months since the Commonwealth Games finished in Birmingham. There was a huge £700m regeneration project in Perry Barr by the Alexander Stadium including knocking down the flyover. Cathleen Dookie is the owner of "Goodfillas" café on Walsall Road, her business is facing imminent closure because of the disruption in the area. Birmingham City Council say the regeneration inevitably led to some disruption but it's been benefited from a massive £700m investment. The authority says it is also going to build on that so businesses and residents reap the rewards for years to come.
