Neil Barnes launched an appeal to replace specially designed wheelchair accessible picnic benches were destroyed during Storm Ciarán at Hive Beach in Bridport. In 2020, he had raised enough money to pay for 4 of these benches to improve wheelchair access for people like his daughter who use a wheelchair. The crowdfunding appeal has surpassed its original target to replace the benches, and now aims to reach £5000 to help install more at seaside locations in Dorset.
