Newsday's Andrew McNair has been speaking to Wladimir Klitschko - the Ukrainian former world heavyweight boxing champion. Klitschko's brother Vitali is Mayor of Kyiv, and when Russia invaded, Wladimir joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a reservist. He tells us he thinks the current counter-offensive by Ukraine has "lost time and momentum and let the Russian forces dig into the ground sending more troops to the frontline". He says Ukraine has challenges because forces "didn't get what we needed'' in terms of military supplies from its allies. The more Ukraine is threatened, he said, the more it will resist and ''any ceasefire would be temporary ''.
