Terry Dennis from Poole, who founded the Dorset Demons wheelchair basketball team, has been named as the winner of this year's Â鶹Éç South Unsung Hero award. Terry set up the team after the pandemic to give physically disabled adults who'd been sheltering the chance to get out into the community, socialise again and do some physical activity. Terry's also managed to secure more than £20,000 in funding to make sure team members have safe and good quality sports chairs to compete in. Terry's wife Charlotte nominated him for the award.
