Redditch businesses' reaction to new drug order
Available for over a year
It's a problem that blights many of our towns. And now, police in Redditch have been given new powers to clamp down on anti-social behaviour, drinking and drugs in the town centre. The town's Conservative administration approved a new public space protection order - a legal ban on behaviour in church green, the Kingfisher centre, and surrounding shops. The PSPO would make it an offence to refuse, when asked by a police or council officer, to surrender alcohol, intoxicating substances, or to leave the area for a set period of time. But how bad have things got, and will it make a difference? Our political reporter James Pearson has been taking a look, speaking with people like Janine Blake, from Three Cooks Bakery.
