In a statement, National Highways said: “It’s vital that National Highways’ motorways and major A-roads are kept in good condition to make sure they remain safe, reliable, and keep traffic in the east moving. We understand that it’s not ideal when traffic management has been in place for so long, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused to motorists and the local community. Our aim is to find a suitable solution to the issue in the coming months and move forward with a permanent fix.”
