AI experiment comes to Penrith
Available for over a year
The Cumberland and Westmorland Herald newspaper is using Artificial Intelligence to edit content for its readers, after a 160 years reporting the old-fashioned way. But, it doesn't mean robots are taking over the newsroom, and jobs are going to go, it's a tool to speed up the routine work of cutting stories down for publication. It's all part of a £48000 grant from Cumbria's Local Enterprise Partnership which is investing in Artificial Intelligence for local businesses.
