Available for over a year
It's LGBTQ+ History month and there are concerns that more than half of London's LGBTQ+ venues have closed since 2006. Data from the Greater London Authority shows numbers have fallen from 125 to 50 between 2006 and 2022. Many of the venues cite the cost of living crisis and rising rents as reasons for closing. Last month, the iconic bar Glory in East London, moved location citing they could not operate because of redevelopment of the building.
