Latest figures from the British Retail Consortium have found abuse and violence towards people working in shops has gone up by 50 per cent since 2023. So far this year, Essex Police have made more than 180 arrests for suspected shop lifting in the county. Di works in an Essex supermarket and has been sharing her experiences.
