World Athletics is considering a plan to make the sport more appealing by trialling a "take off zone" rather than Athletes leaping from the traditional wooden board. The idea is to eliminate the possibility of a foul. Brian Camp who has over fifty years experience as a jumps coach and looks after some of the country's most promising teenagers says "(Youngsters) go into competitions, have three no jumps, they don't register a jump and thats very disconcerting for them."
