Bourne woman seeks law change over cat road deaths
Available for over a year
A mum from Bourne says traffic laws need updating after two of her pet cats were killed by cars within a week of each other. Amber French was left "heartbroken" after Shadow and Oddball were both run over near her home. Under current law, if drivers hit a cat they are not legally required to stop and report it. However incidents involving dogs, horses and livestock must be reported to police and Amber believes it's unfair that cats are treated differently.
