'Operation Deerness' is investigating what the authorities knew at the time of abuse at the County Durham facility between 1961 and 1987. Richard Tucker, Senior Investigator at the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman, is appealing for anyone with links to the centre during that time to share their story.
