Haddiscoe man: ‘Has this quarry come to haunt me?’
Available for over a year
People living in a village on the edge of the Broads have described proposals for a new quarry as like having "a loaded gun to their heads". The company Breedon Trading Limited has applied to Norfolk County Council to develop a 52-acre gravel pit in Haddiscoe. It would be roughly the size of 26 football pitches - and a decision's expected by the end of May. Villagers say they're worried about the potential impact of noise, dust and an increase in HGV traffic. Andy Trigg met campaigner and resident Daryl Packer.
