Worcester choir friendships inspire cancer tests

Available for over a year

Hear how Ian Hilton-Turvey could be saved, simply after a conversation at choir practice for the 'Worcester Men United In Song' project. 60 men, most of them inexperienced singers, have come together to form a new choir, spending 10 weeks learning a repertoire of songs to perform on stage at Worcester's Swan Theatre next month. It's a project being run by the city's long-established Male Voice Choir - and it's all being done for a good cause, raising money for Prostate Cancer UK. Our reporter Gavin Kermack has been one of those busily rehearsing for the concert - and he's been speaking to some of his fellow singers who've been affected by prostate cancer. Ian Hilton-Turvey tells Gavin how he became aware of his condition after speaking to someone who had got a test, after speaking to someone who had got a test.
