A victory for France's Me Too movement

Newshour

Available for over a year

The French National Assembly today voted in favour of setting up a commission to investigate sexual abuse in the French film industry. The new commission is the result of a campaign led by the actress Judith Godreche who's accused two film directors of sexually assaulting her when she was just in her early teens, allegations they both deny. She is seen as the figurehead of France's Me Too Movement. Newshour spoke to Judith Godreche after the vote: (Photo: French actress Judith Godreche Credit: European Photoprint Agency)
