Affordable Food in Blurton want 'Use By' dates scrapped on fresh fruit, vegetables and salad and have started a petition to get food companies to take notice. A Defra spokesperson said: “Nobody wants to see good food go to waste – it harms our environment and is a needless waste of households’ money.
