Hollywood star Russell Crowe at Glastonbury this year

Newshour

Available for over a year

Hollywood star Russell Crowe is making his Glastonbury debut this year where his band Indoor Garden Party will be playing on Saturday evening. He describes the music as veering between blues, rock, gospel and country, and the new album, Prose And Cons, has already been released. The artwork is a photograph of a swimmer, captured from behind as he looks out over ethereally lit water. Russell Crowe has starred in some of the biggest blockbusters ever, from L.A. Confidential, A Beautiful Mind, and Les Miserables to his Oscar-winning role as Maximus Decimus Meridius in Gladiator. Before he was an actor Crowe was in a band that performed regular gigs in pubs and clubs. He describes returning to music as "a reset" and a "natural" place for him to be.
