Could a new town be built in Worcestershire?
Available for over a year
We investigate plans to built a settlement of 10,000 homes between Worcester and Pershore, after the new chancellor Rachel Reeves announced new national house-building targets, and plans to 'speed up' existing developments. Plans for a new town around the Worcestershire Parkway railway station were first announced before the pandemic - but so far building hasn't started, due to delays forming the blueprint for where new homes and businesses will go. James Pearson reports. Image credit: St Modwen (showing plans for the Wood Hall neighbourhood, proposed in October 2023, near Worcestershire Parkway railway station)
