Kylian Mbappe received a “rockstar” welcome as the French forward was unveiled by his new club Real Madrid in front of more than 80,000 spectators at the Bernabeu. The 25-year-old signed a five-year deal at the Spanish club in July 2024 after the expiry of his Paris St-Germain contract, but the presentation was delayed due to France's involvement at Euro 2024. Madrid football journalist Juan Castro says Mbappe’s presentation was like one “never seen before in Spain” and shares what Real Madrid are expecting from their new number nine and what could be a battle for shirt sales in the club shop.
