Why there'll be no new mudlarking licences in London

Available for over a year

The practice of Mudlarking on the River Thames has become so popular that licences have stopped being handed out. Mudlarking sees people searching the Thames' river beds, looking for objects discarded from ships, which unveil clues about London's history. But the act has become so popular the Port of London Authority (PLA) has stopped giving out new licenses for the foreseeable future - which has frustrated some Mudlarkers. Wendy Hurrell has been finding out more. (Image credit: Getty Images)
