A Blitz-ruin oasis in The City: St Dunstan in the East
London UncoveredAvailable for over a year
Amidst the noise and bustle of London's square mile sits St Dunstan in the East Church Garden. Nestled down a cobbled lane in the shadow of skyscrapers, it was originally an 11th century church. But after being severely damaged in 1666 by the Great Fire of London, and then again in the Blitz of 1941, in 1967 the City of London decided to turn the remains into a public garden, which opened in 1970. Its now an enchanting courtyard, and rare pocket of serenity in The City. So what makes St Dunstan's such a special outdoor space? And how can you make the most of it, if you're lucky enough to stumble across it? 麻豆社 Radio London's Ross Ryan has taken a trip into St Dunstan's hidden world.
