Despite £1.3 million of regeneration money, Goldthorpe's new town square has struggled to attract customers to the market held there. Barnsley Council have said they're committed to continuing to support the market at Goldthorpe, they're hopeful the market will grow and they have plans for exciting ways to use the space, including a youth market.
