Hertfordshire father and son, Malcolm and Hamish Jackson, led the restoration team. The mixing desk, a TG12345, was used at EMI’s studios in London to record The Beatles’ Abbey Road album in 1969. It was subsequently donated to a school, who simply threw it away when they didn’t want it anymore. It was only saved by a passing musician.
