Samantha Harvey wins the Booker Prize for her novel Orbital

Newshour

Available for over a year

Last night, Samantha Harvey won this year's prestigious Booker Prize for fiction for her book, "Orbital". It's set during a 24 hour period on the International Space Station and is a short, rather beautiful book which explores the relationship that human beings have, not with space, but with planet Earth. Early this morning she came into the Newshour studio, and Rebecca Kesby asked her how she succeeded in describing so vividly, Space, a place where she's never been?
