When Piers Hemmingsen, a retired computer programmer from Toronto, began researching his book on ‘The Beatles in Canada’, he unearthed a tape that brought him up close to the Fab Four, one hot afternoon in August 1965 in Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens arena.
