Should skincare products come with age restrictions?

Business Daily

Available for over a year

Anti-ageing skincare used to be something only adults were interested in. Now - children as young as eight are buying products intended for much older consumers. The problem is, some of these creams contain active ingredients that have the potential to harm children鈥檚 skin. Dermatologists have told the 麻豆社 they鈥檙e seeing young patients with dermatitis and, in extreme cases, chemical burns because they鈥檙e using products meant for people three times their age. The biggest pharmacy chain in Sweden, Apotek Hj盲rtat, has put an age restriction on the sale of some skincare products to stop children buying them - should the rest of the world be following suit? Hannah Mullane investigates.
